Planet Defense

Made for the Extra Credits Jam #4 in the theme of “CONNECT”, Planet Defense is a tower defense game where you need to defend you planet against an onslaught of asteroids.

Build laser and missile turrets to shoot out asteroids. Build mines to collect resources. Build power plants and connector to power your buildings. Then sit back and enjoy the light show.

The planet is generated using a subdivided IcoSphere. You create buildings on the faces and power connectors on the vertices. The connectors take electricity from power plants and charge all neighbouring buildings. The more power a building receives the more efficient it runs.
